From my earliest days, I've been captivated by technology, especially the tangible kind I could hold in my hands. Legos and game consoles were my constant companions, alongside an old 110 film camera that sparked my curiosity. Despite the occasional scolding for "wasting film," the enchantment of clicking the shutter and eagerly awaiting developed photos kept me hooked. When our family acquired a Polaroid camera, my enthusiasm soared. I not only clicked away for the instant gratification of seeing images materialize, but I also spent hours dismantling and reassembling the camera to unravel its inner workings.Believe it or not, my childhood dreams didn't point towards a career in photography; I envisioned myself as a farmer, nurturing the growth of green wonders from seed to bloom. However, as life unfolded, I found myself drawn to the captivating blend of art and technology in computer animation, leading me to pursue it in art school. To make ends meet, I ventured into the world of photography, working as a photographer's assistant, setting up equipment, and experimenting with early versions of Photoshop.Post-college, my journey took an unexpected turn as I joined a startup, swiftly transitioning from animation to programming. Yet, my love for photography endured. Throughout the digital revolution, I eagerly embraced the shift, requesting a digital camera for Christmas and photographing anyone within reach. Ensuring my cell phones boasted top-notch cameras became a personal tradition. When professional cameras transitioned to digital, I finally invested in a Canon 50D – my first "grown-up" camera. Photography became a cherished pastime, accompanying me on vacations, around town, and through photography classes.After two decades in the corporate world, I yearned for a new, creative chapter, bringing me back to my roots and reigniting my passion. Now, with a renewed zest, I aim to capture beauty and share it with the world. While landscapes and nature hold a special place in my heart, my love for photography knows no bounds. From the spontaneous joy of snapshots to the narratives concealed in each frame, I am excited to uncover the myriad possibilities!
